FAQ
Questions, answered honestly
Straight answers about credit restoration: what it is, what it isn't, and what to expect.
Is credit repair legal?
Yes. The Fair Credit Reporting Act gives you the right to dispute any information on your credit report that you believe is inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable, and to have someone help you do it. Credit repair companies are regulated by the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act and by state laws, which require written contracts and specific disclosures.
Can't I do this myself?
Absolutely. You have the right to dispute inaccurate information directly with the credit bureaus at no cost. Many people hire us because disputes take time, documentation and follow-through across three bureaus and multiple creditors, and we handle all of that for you.
How much will my score go up?
No honest company can promise a number. Results depend on what's on your report, whether it's inaccurate or unverifiable, and how the bureaus and creditors respond. Any company that guarantees a specific score increase or deletion is a red flag. We'll give you a realistic picture during your free consultation.
How long does it take?
Credit bureaus generally have about 30 days to investigate each dispute. Many clients see the first changes after the first round of responses, and most files take several rounds over a few months. Complex files can take longer.
Can you remove accurate negative items?
No. Accurate, timely and verifiable information can't be legally removed by anyone. Most negative items can stay on a report for up to 7 years, and some bankruptcies for up to 10. What we can do is challenge items that are inaccurate, incomplete, unverifiable or past their reporting limit, and help you build positive credit going forward.
When do I pay?
Our service is $59 per month with no long-term contract, and you can cancel anytime. Your written agreement spells out exactly when you're billed. See our pricing page for details.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You can cancel your agreement without penalty or obligation within 3 business days of signing, and after that you can stop service at any time.
Will working with you hurt my credit?
No. Disputing items doesn't lower your score, and reviewing your own credit reports is a soft inquiry that doesn't affect it.
Do you work with clients outside my state?
We work with clients in the states where we're registered to provide credit services. Contact us and we'll confirm whether we can serve you.
